It’s never starting ‘From Scratch’

Whenever we feel we’ve lost our way and the regret of having to ‘start again’ flows over, it’s time to remember something important. If we ‘fall off the wagon’, our weight creeps up, or we fall into old habits, we’re never starting at the very beginning again.

Every time we make the decision to be healthier, we build on what works and what doesn’t. 

It’s time to reassess, not get down on ourselves for ‘failing’! As annoying as the saying is, it is true: every ‘failure’ teaches you something, and that’s how we improve.

With healthy habits the mind grows calmer. In the beginning it’s constant effort to remind yourself to fulfil the new habits and work on getting rid of the old. Little by little, the good habits take over, and you’re left with more mental space and energy to focus on other things.

 

The healthy life and body will flow into space when you start with a mentality of allowing for ups and downs, instead of going negative and feeling you’ve ‘failed’ again

It takes effort until it’s a habit. Maybe not all the healthy habits you want to create will happen within that first month, but some will, then later, some more will too. Maybe every other month a new one gets part of your daily routine, and that is what will create ever-lasting change.

Just know and believe that with every fiber of your being the change is already happening. It starts on the inside and it does get easier with time.
